Rev. Dr. Claude Porter

Our Founder, Reverend
Doctor Claude Porter, has over 35 years of experience in social services. Rev.
Dr. Porter founded Proviso-Leyden Council for Community Action, Inc. with a single employment-training grant in 1968.
Rev. Dr. Porter's list of accomplishments and personal achievements is lengthy and impressive. In 1970, he founded PLCCA, Inc. and became our Executive Director overseeing all aspects of the operation from management to financial. In 1975, Rev.
Dr. Porter became our President and CEO and today serves as our Chairman and CEO.
Rev. Dr. Porter is the founder and President of the Porter Family Center, the President of Maywood Phoenix Homes, Senior Citizen Project, The Executive Vice President of the West Suburban N.A.A.C.P., founder and Pastor of Proviso Missionary Baptist Church, Maywood, Illinois, as well as a member of several councils' Board of Directors, both in and around West Suburban Cook County area. He is a past recipient of the Humanitarian Award, the Community Spirit Award, Business of the Year Award, Pioneer Award H.H.S. Head Start, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Partners for Progress.
David Quas
President
Mr. Quas has served on the Board of Directors for P.L.C.C.A.
for a number of years, over which time he has made major contributions in
service to the organization. He also is the President of Paramount Media Group, Inc. out
of Naperville, Illinois.
Rev. Dr. Claude Porter made the decision in 2005 to offer the
position of President of P.L.C.C.A. to Mr. Quas based on his vast
knowledge of business and compassion for the community. As
President, Mr. Quas oversees some thirty plus programs and 5
divisions of the organization.
