February's Employee of the Month- Kimberly Tate
March 1, 2003
Congratulations to Kimberly Tate, our Employee of the Month from Youth Services for February 2003! Kimberly Tate qualifies for this honor by excelling in, and exceeding, the following expectations and qualifications:

CARING

Kim always shows kindness and caring to the kids in her program as well as her co-workers. She always shows concern and offers support to others when needed. She gets along with everyone and never displays any attitude when asked to do something or when things change, she's very adaptable.

COMMITMENT

Kim has always shown great commitment, and over the past month she has gained more responsibilities and paperwork along with all her regular responsibilities. She makes sure she gets here hours before her starting time and stays well past her quitting time, knowing that she does not get paid for it. Kim does this just to stay ahead of the game because she loves the fact that she knows she's making a difference in her customers lives.

COMPETENCY

Kim is one of the most competent individuals in her program. She is always on top of things and makes sure she is in control of what is going on at her After School program. Kim is bright and very well organized, in which, she has a system in place for everything that she does.

COMMUNICATION

Kim has an outgoing personality and this helps her to keep the lines of communication between the school and her program open. She regularly attends her team meetings and expresses any concerns or comments she has. She willingly participates in other doings with the school to help keep her aware and up to date with what's going on. She makes sure that the staff under her are very well informed of what's happening. When Kim is in the office she makes sure co-workers get phone messages and/or memos that were passed out.

CONSISTENCY

Kim is consistent with every aspect of her job. I don't believe she has ever called in sick, she comes in early and stays late on a daily basis, her attitude is always very positive and she makes a great team player.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Kim's After School program at Emerson School recently had a USDA Audit that was hands down absolutely perfect. I think Kim's overall dedication, hard work and the amount of hours she puts in beyond her normal work hours makes her an asset to Youth Services & PLCCA as a whole.

January's Employee of the Month-Johnny Breedlove
February 1, 2003
Congratulations to Johnny Breedlove, our Employee of the Month from Substance Abuse Operations for January 2003! Mr. Breedlove qualifies for this honor by excelling in, and exceeding, the following expectations and qualifications:

CARING

Mr. Breedlove demonstrates this category through his passion and compassion. He gives exceptional kindness, understanding, tolerance, acceptance, empathy, and a holistic approach towards clients and staff. He treats the clients and co-workers with respect and dignity as human beings; and is dedicated to providing the most conducive treatment (when most people lack understanding and "look down" on or dismiss our clientele and their obstacles as unworthy or irrelevant).
He is truly the most humble and grateful soul that I have had the privilege of working with. Every morning when I ask how he is doing, his replies that he is "blessed". I believe that he is a role model for the clients and staff.

COMMITMENT

Mr. Breedlove was nominated especially for this category because he arrives 15-20 minutes early every day. Also, he has not called in sick or taken a vacation day or personal business day since his date of hire in April, 2002. In fact, I am having a hard time getting him to take a vacation before he loses the time.
In addition, he accepts extra duties/assignments willingly, (bigger caseload, assessments, documents, etc.).  Further, Mr. Breedlove is a hard worker. Except for his allotted lunch hour, he rarely takes breaks. He conducts his job duties from the time he arrives to the time he leaves.

COMPETENCY

Mr. Breedlove's organization skills are excellent. He is detail-orientated, and developed a productive system for his duties and daily operations.
Also, he is knowledgeable in his field and position-related areas. The quality of his paperwork, charting, and counseling skills are above expectation.

COMMUNICATION

As indicated above, Mr. Breedlove has a positive attitude, good etiquette, and productive interaction with co-workers and clients. He presents a positive and professional self-presentation; and avoids gossip.

CONSISTENCY

Mr. Breedlove has maintained consistency with his professional attitude, behavior and reliability. I can depend on him to be mentally, emotionally and vocationally stable for himself and the treatment team.
