On Saturday, March 7th, the energy was high and the community spirit was palpable at the PASO (Puentes y Acceso a la Salud) Health Fair! PLCCA was proudly represented by Family Engagement Coordinator Lisa Johnson and Disabilities Coordinator Guadalupe Franco, who spent the day connecting with families and sharing the incredible resources our organization has to offer.
The event, which focuses on health promotion and vital community resources, brought together fantastic collaborations with Access to Care, the Cook County Department of Public Health, and PASO — the perfect setting for PLCCA to do what we do best: engage with our neighbors and provide a hand up.

Throughout the day, Lisa and Guadalupe were busy at the PLCCA booth, chatting with attendees and highlighting the wide array of services available to children and families.

They eagerly shared details about our Preschool for All Expansion and Early Head Start programs, ensuring parents knew about the high-quality early education options right in their backyard. They also distributed daycare flyers outlining the comprehensive services available to newly enrolled students.
Their passionate outreach efforts were a resounding success! Not only did they significantly increase awareness of PLCCA's programs, but they also successfully added new families to our program waitlists.

Events like the PASO Health Fair are at the heart of our mission. They allow us to strengthen our community connections, meet families where they are, and ensure that every child has access to the valuable early childhood resources they need to thrive. A huge thank you to Lisa and Guadalupe for their dedication and for representing PLCCA with such enthusiasm!
